The British National Ploughing Championships took place at the weekend - on the 9th and 10th of November at Mindrum Mill in the north of Northumberland (close to the Scottish border), my home territory. Usually, I have
to travel the length and breadth of the country to take photos but this year they came to my home county, Northumberland.
The event took place over 200 acres of arable land provided by D Harvey and Son. The weather
was kind with Saturday morning starting off well but with showers in the afternoon. Sunday started off with bright sunshine but it clouded over in the afternoon but stayed dry all day. Weather conditions were generally good all weekend (unlike the Sunday deluge
at Nocton 2 years ago.)
This year’s event was the 70th British National Championships and was postponed from last year because of Covid restrictions. I took well over a thousand photos over the weekend and
will try to put as many up as possible. I ask for your patience while I sort through them all. Keep checking to see new additions to this section of the website.
