The Welland Steam and Country Fair 2025
It was while I was taking photographs at the Old Timer Tractor Rally, sadly no longer taking place, that someone asked me if I’d been to the Welland Steam and Country Rally. I had to admit that I’d never heard of it. Further to that several other people told me how good it was so I decided to bite the bullet this year and take the 6 hour journey down to the Welland from Northumberland. And was I pleased that I did.
What a magnificent show it is. Now that the Dorset Steam Fair no longer exists, THE WELLAND STEAM AND COUNTRY RALLY must be one of the best events of its type if not THE BEST in the country.
If you didn’t get the chance to go this year the photos on the next few pages will give you a flavour of the event and if you did go perhaps they will bring back happy memories of your time there.
In any event I would recommend you going to see it next year. I think I am correct in saying that it celebrates its 90th year in 2026.
